Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during the first session?

First sessions are for me to get to know you, your concerns, and to answer all your questions about therapy. It is also your chance to ask questions about the process and expectations. It is our chance to see if we are a good therapeutic fit.

How long are sessions?

Sessions can range from 45 minutes to 60 minutes. Couples and family therapy could occasionally go longer.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently taking Cigna, Aetna, and several other insurances via my services with Rula. The list is growing regularly. Check out my scheduling links for more information.

How often will we meet?

It depends on treatment goals, the severity of your concerns, and what you are able to fit into your schedule. We will collaborate on what will be best for you.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be helpful for anyone feeling overwhelmed, stuck, emotionally exhausted, or simply needing additional support through life’s challenges. You do not have to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek counseling to better understand themselves, improve relationships, manage stress and anxiety, build confidence, set healthier boundaries, navigate life transitions, or develop healthier coping skills.

If you’re noticing that your thoughts, emotions, or daily stressors are impacting your relationships, work, school, motivation, or overall well-being, therapy may provide a safe and supportive space to process your experiences and create meaningful change.
